Ingredients

300 g pasta (penne or fusilli)

2 tbsp olive oil or butter

1 onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup mixed vegetables (broccoli florets, bell peppers, zucchini, carrots)

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs

Salt to taste

1 cup tomato sauce

¾ cup grated Baladna Mozzarella Cheese

Fresh basil or parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)

How it's made!

    Cook the pasta

    • Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions.
    • Drain and set aside.

    Prepare the vegetables

    • Heat olive oil or butter in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add onion and cook until soft.
    • Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
    • Add mixed vegetables and cook for 5 to 6 minutes until just tender.

    Build the sauce

    • Add tomato sauce, black pepper, dried herbs, and salt.
    • Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.

    Combine

    • Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss well.
    • Remove from heat and mix in Baladna Mozzarella Cheese until melted and evenly distributed.

    Serve

    • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
    • Serve hot as a satisfying Iftar main.

    Tips

    • Baladna Mozzarella melts smoothly and gives the pasta a comforting, cheesy texture.
    • Cook vegetables until just tender to keep their color and bite.
    • You can bake the pasta for 10 minutes at 180°C for a lightly golden top if desired.
