Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water

Topping

  • 2 cups shredded Baladna Mozzarella
  • Optional: mix mozzarella with akkawi or cream cheese
How it's made!
    • Prepare the dough
    • Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it rest for 5 minutes until foamy. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt, then pour in yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth. Let the dough rise for 45 minutes.
    • Shape manakish
    • Divide the dough into 6 balls. Roll each ball into a small flat circle.
    • Add the cheese
    • Spread a generous amount of Baladna Mozzarella on each dough circle, leaving a border around the edges.
    • Bake
    • Place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 250 degrees Celsius for 7 to 9 minutes until golden.
    • Serve
    • Enjoy fresh out of the oven.
    • Tips
    • For extra richness, mix mozzarella with a spoon of Baladna Cream Cheese before spreading.
